The summer season is increasing pressure on the Chinese. Today, the spot market price of sugar fell by around Rs 20-50. So in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, sugar is selling below Rs 3,000. NCDEX is trading down 0.5 per cent to close to the Chinese. In a country of 240 million tones this year's sugar production is estimated to be over.
The Soybean has jumped to around 3 per cent on NCDEX today. Although global soybean market is trading in a range. May soybean futures point to note is that later, ie in June and July futures are trading down.
